He spent a lot of his time trying to figure out the workings of ancient or forgotten spells, as well as creating new ones of his own. Upon figuring something out he'd immediately cast it in his excitement, no matter what the spell did and who might be around to get caught up in it. | He's got a heart that shines as brightly as the sun, and if he wanders about the castle grounds, woodland creatures will literally come and sit on his shoulders and head because of his gentle nature. Lute absolutely adores children and is very, VERY protective of them. He would often be found playing with the young ones of his city, and can't wait to have children of his own. He's also from a very matriarchal society -to the point where he father was often forgotten about or ignored- so he tends to treat women in high regard. He is also a very giving person, and there is rarely a time when he isn't smiling. No matter how hurt or exhausted he is, he'll face it with a smile to give others the motivation to keep on going. Courageous and willing to take risks and face any and all odds to protect complete strangers, even willing to give his life the people he loves. .the.demon.of.sforzando. | Lute also tends to hide his pain behind those smiles. As a prince he needed to keep a strong face so the people of his country wouldn't worry, since he was their Guardian and best defense against the mazoku. If he was strong, the people would be strong. If he was happy, the people would be happy. Even if he never showed it, his mother knew how he hurt. She told Clari once that "Even with all that sadness, all that pain, no matter how he hurt he never complained." | At age 15 already he had developed his magic capacity to the extent that he was considered a major weapon against the demons. Humans considered him to be the greatest magic user that's ever lived, considering him a literal Messiah. Hameln's forces even go as far as to dub him the "Demon of Sforzando," indicating that they considered him, in essence, a human version of themselves. Which is a way is almost like an honor because they look at humans to be worth less then insects. As High Priest he was also in command of The Queen's Royal Magic Army. Hundreds of thousands of soldiers, lives, under his command. As a commander he had to steel himself to the fact that when war came he had to send them in to fight and they wouldn't all be coming back. Choices had to be made and he couldn't save everyone, no matter how hard his heart cried. Fifteen years later, he'd been tortured to death and had his soul stolen. His corpse became a puppet for the Hell King and he spent all those years suffering, being forced to witness the horrors of the demon world.There were times he was able to gather the will to eek out some tiny semblance of control, even if it was for but a moment.
